I understand the need for a merciless difficulty level for those who like to 'break' strategy games but still feel challenged, but there needs to be something inbetween 'Easy' and 'Masochist' mode.ġ- By turn 70, an AI nation is able to pump out a seemingly endless supply of Tier IV+ units.
But, when I try the King difficulty, I discover a mode where the AI either cheats or just plays like no human being could. It gives a little resistance but victory is never in doubt and frankly it's rather boring. I find the Lord difficulty to be about as difficult as smashing a rock with a hammer.
